We propose to create a new science club whose goal is to stimulate an interest in math, science, and communication in junior high school students through the use computer and Internet technology. Our goal is to create a challenging, project-oriented environment in which students can learn to apply their creative skills to a wide range of activities such as science (computer visualization and analysis of real-word data, computer gaming), mathematics (computer programming, computer simulations), and technical writing (on-line newsletters, web pages, and other Internet-based resources).
