This Directed Individual Study course in Natural Language Processing is intended to help students develop a good understanding of fundamental topics and their relation to speech recognition. The course involves developing lecture slides and also returning periodic assignments based on the topics covered. For the final assessment, the students produce a five page report of their accomplishment during the course.
