isip_xterm [options]

isip_xterm;
isip_xterm -tool xterm;

This invokes a terminal tool with some predefined options so that the default behavior of ther window is a little more user-friendly. For example, for the X Windows tool, xterm, the option "-ut -n" are invoked (see "man xterm" for a description of these options).

We also modify the window name so that each window has a unique index. This index is tracked using a file located in a user's home directory (see below).

• -tool: sets the type of window to be created (default = xterm)

• A unique window index is generated each time a window is opened. This is stored in the file $HOME/.isip_index.
